How do timestamps work?

When you start recording, a timestamp is automatically created each time you type a new line or paragraph. Tap any timestamp in your notes to jump the audio playback to that exact moment.

Can I continue a recording I paused earlier?

Yes. Open any note and tap the "Continue" button at the top. The new recording will be appended and all timestamps will stay correctly aligned.

How does AI Summary work?

After your recording session, switch to the AI Summary tab and tap "Analyse". Notetake sends your audio transcript to an AI model which generates a structured summary with key points and action items, usually within 30–60 seconds.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your recordings and notes are stored locally on your device by default. If you use cloud sync, your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I export or share my notes?

Tap the share icon at the top of any note. You can export a beautifully formatted PDF containing your notes, AI summary, and full transcript.

What platforms does Notetake support?

Notetake is available for macOS and iOS. Download from the Mac App Store or the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.

I found a bug. How do I report it?
