Overview

Notetake helps you record sessions, write timestamped notes, generate transcripts, and create AI summaries. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

• Account information such as your email address when you sign in.
• Content you create including notebooks, notes, recordings, timestamps, transcripts, and summaries.
• Subscription and purchase information required to manage paid plans and restore purchases.
• Technical information needed to operate the app, such as device and app usage details, diagnostics, and local storage paths.

How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• provide the Notetake app and keep your notes and recordings available to you;
• process recordings into transcripts and AI summaries;
• support account login, subscription status, and purchase restoration;
• improve reliability, performance, and product quality;
• respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service.

Audio, Transcripts, and AI Processing

When you choose to generate AI features, your recordings and note content may be processed by third-party service providers that support transcription and summarisation. At the time of writing, this includes infrastructure used by Supabase, RevenueCat for subscriptions, OpenAI for audio transcription, and Anthropic for AI summary generation.

Notetake does not opt in to using your recordings, notes, transcripts, summaries, or other content to train AI models. Our AI providers may retain submitted API content for a limited period, typically up to 30 days, for abuse monitoring, policy enforcement, security, or legal reasons. Provider retention periods and legal obligations may change, and some data may be retained longer where required by law or provider policy.

We aim to keep API keys and service credentials server-side. Your app does not expose those keys directly when using the intended production flow.

Storage

Your recordings and note content may be stored locally on your device and may also be stored in our backend systems where needed to support sync, transcription, summaries, and subscription functionality.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us operate the app, including:

• authentication and backend providers;
• subscription and billing providers;
• AI and transcription providers;
• analytics, infrastructure, and support tools, if used.

These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the app, provide the features you use, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may also have recordings, notes, and transcripts stored locally on your own device.

Your Choices

You can:

• stop using AI features;
• delete notes or recordings from the app;
• cancel your subscription through the platform where you purchased it;
• contact us to request account-related assistance.

Children

Notetake is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the in-app policy and change the date above.
